The New and Improved Dual Action Heavy Duty Leaf Spring is a Must have. It provides a more smooth ride when there isn't alot of added weight due to cargo or extra passengers. As you put more weight on the cart, the springs bare the extra load and the extra leaf kicks in only then the added weight applies more pressure.
